VERSACE SpA will consider going public when it reaches company sales of €500 million to €600 million (£424 million to £509 million). Group revenues for 2012 currently stand at €408.7 million (£437 million).
The firm's CEO, Gian Giacomo Ferraris, maintains that the Versace family will not relinquish control of the company yet. Santo and Donatella Versace own 30 and 20 per cent stakes, while Donatella's daughter, Allegra Versace Beck, holds a 50 per cent stake.
"The Versaces have every intention of staying on as owners of the firm," Ferraris told WWD. "They are aware that the more the company grows the more it is their duty to explore ways to be competitive against larger fashion conglomerates."
Donatella Versace will talk at the Vogue Festival, which takes place on April 27 and 28. Buy your tickets here.
