JESSICA ENNIS married her childhood sweetheart Andy Hill this weekend, in an intimate Derbyshire ceremony. The pair said their vows at St Michael and All Angels Church in Hathersage on Saturday, close to where they both grew up.
The Olympic athlete walked down the aisle in a romantic ivory Monique Lhuillier gown with a sleeveless wrap bodice, all-encompassing ruffled skirt and floor-length veil, and carried a bouquet of cream and pink roses. According to reports, the couple invited around 100 guests to the ceremony, who sang hymns Love Divine and To God Be The Glory. The newlyweds emerged from the church to the Beatles classic, All You Need Is Love.
Ennis, 27, met Hill - who is a construction site manager - while attending the King Ecbert School in Sheffield. The pair have been dating for eight years and became engaged on Christmas Eve in 2010. The wedding plans were put on hold while the athlete concentrated on the London 2012 Olympic Games.
