Braff tweeted nonstop yesterday about approaching the milestone, his missives ranging
from"UK, when you look at the page 3 girl's boobs today, think of me. K?" to"Whomever pledges the last $ will get sex from Kate Upton. (Note: this is a lie.)"The campaign is now closed to further donations and...it's moviemaking time!
The former Scrubs star took a lot of flak at first for taking to Kickstarter in the wake of the overnight success of theVeronica Mars movie campaign, but obviously enough people were taken with his idea to overcome the critics.

In addition to the kindness of strangers, Braff will also be putting his own money into the project and the success of his Kickstarter venture prompted Worldview Entertainment to offer up gap financing.
Mandy Patinkin and Josh Gad have also been cast in Wish I Was Here, in which Braff will play a young man forced to reconsider his life and family after he learns his father is dying.
